正交约束下的D-最优试验设计

针对一类因素间具有正交约束的回归模型的试验设计问题,以D-最优为准则,以加速度计试验设计为背景,从试验点的均衡分布原则出发,以不同试验环境下合加速度大小为依据,给出了不同环境下球内接正多面体的试验方法,通过进一步计算和深入分析表明,单球面时为避免信息矩阵降秩应采用不同安装方式,降低模型维数以达到试验目的;两球面下试验设计的优劣与两个半径的大小有关,半径越大计划越优,而且信息矩阵的秩最大时两个球半径之间呈近似线性关系.试验结果的优劣还受到初始安装位置的影响,为了达到最优化,应使合加速度方向与加速度计的某个轴同向.     

Holomorphic Sobolev spaces, Hermite and special Hermite semigroups and a Paley-Wiener theorem for the windowed Fourier transform

The images of Hermite and Laguerre-Sobolev spaces under the Hermite and special Hermite semigroups (respectively) are characterized. These are used to characterize the image of Schwartz class of rapidly decreasing functions f on Rn and Cn under these semigroups. The image of the space of tempered distributions is also considered and a Paley-Wiener theorem for the windowed (short-time) Fourier transform is proved.     

Continuity and generators of dynamical semigroups for infinite Bose systems

For a class of quasifree quantum dynamical semigroups on the algebra of the canonical commutation relations (CCR) we give sufficient conditions for these semigroups to extend to ultraweakly continuous semigroups of normal operators on the von Neumann algebra associated with a representation of the CCR. Then the explicit form of the generators of the extended semigroups is calculated.     

On locally spherical polytopes of type {5, 3, 5}

There are only finitely many locally projective regular polytopes of type {5, 3, 5}. They are covered by a locally spherical polytope whose automorphism group is J₁×J₁×L₂(19), where J₁ is the first Janko group, of order 175560, and L₂(19) is the projective special linear group of order 3420. This polytope is minimal, in the sense that any other polytope that covers all locally projective polytopes of type {5, 3, 5} must in turn cover this one.     

Existence of weighted pseudo almost periodic solutions to some classes of hyperbolic evolution equations

This paper is concerned with the study of weighted pseudo almost periodic solutions to some classes of hyperbolic differential equations. Upon making some suitable assumptions, the existence and uniqueness of a weighted pseudo almost periodic solution is obtained. To illustrate our main result, we study the existence of a weighted pseudo almost periodic solution to a system of partial differential equations arising in control systems described by abstract retarded functional-differential equations with feedback control.     

Aluthge iterations of weighted translation semigroups

The problem whether Aluthge iteration of bounded operators on a Hilbert space H is convergent was introduced in [I. Jung, E. Ko, C. Pearcy, Aluthge transforms of operators, Integral Equations Operator Theory 37 (2000) 437-448]. And the problem whether the hyponormal operators on H with dimH=∞ has a convergent Aluthge iteration under the strong operator topology remains an open problem [I. Jung, E. Ko, C. Pearcy, The iterated Aluthge transform of an operator, Integral Equations Operator Theory 45 (2003) 375-387]. In this note we consider symbols with a fractional monotone property which generalizes hyponormality and 2-expansivity on weighted translation semigroups, and prove that if {St} is a weighted translation semigroup whose symbol has the fractional monotone property, then its Aluthge iteration converges to a quasinormal operator under the strong operator topology.     

Dense inverse subsemigroups of a topological inverse semigroup

In this paper we study dense inverse subsemigroups of topological inverse semigroups. We construct a topological inverse semigroup from a semilattice. Finally, we give two examples of the closure of B _{( −∞, ∞ )}¹, a topological inverse semigroup obtained by starting with the real numbers as a semilattice with the operation a ∨ b=sup{a,b}. Abundant semigroups with a multiplicative quasi-adequate transversal

The concept of quasi-adequate transversals is introduced. Some properties and characterizations for abundant semigroups with a multiplicative quasi-adequate transversal are obtained. In particular, a structure theorem for such abundant semigroups is given. Finally, some special cases are considered. Numerical semigroups: Apéry sets and Hilbert series

Let a ₁,…,a _n be relatively prime positive integers, and let S be the semigroup consisting of all non-negative integer linear combinations of a ₁,…,a _n . In this paper, we focus our attention on AA-semigroups, that is semigroups being generated by almost arithmetic progressions. After some general considerations, we give a characterization of the symmetric AA-semigroups. We also present an efficient method to determine an Apéry set and the Hilbert series of an AA-semigroup. Dedicated to the memory of Ernst S. Selmer (1920–2006), whose calculations revealed the “Selmer group”.     

A supplement to ‘A note on invariant measure semigroups’

A unified definition of measure semigroup is given and it is shown how the types of invariance for the measure are formulated and what effect they have on the embeddability of an Abelian semigroup in a group. The online version of the original article can be found under doi:.
